Re: [Sat] 16 Sep 2017 (Brothel Night)

I did join in late due to technical problems, but I enjoyed the missions I played, especially the Vietnam-style tension of the Tanoa missions. I do wish, though, that some day I'll take part in "Piece of Cake" without it going so far south, it doubles back and ends up at the North Pole. Also, I am p...

Re: [Sat] 19 Aug 2017 (United Nations gets a green T-72)

I didn't take any notes so I can't say much on the individual missions - other than a few unconnected snippets: UNarmed is a masterpiece of atmosphere - and one of those missions where spectating it is almost as enjoyable asplaying it. Will we ever find out what happened to ATM Guy who never could q...

Re: [Sat] 10 Jun 2017 (Whisper like Bormanov)

UNarmed was very, very cool. Atmospheric and tense. I only fired a handful of shots and was never in actual combat, but there's no doubt that this was my favourite mission of the three I played. (Does anyone here know of any similar missions that a) don't required mods and b) can be played by group...

Re: [Sat] 03 Jun 2017 (Nearly legal / Kefirz gets his map case)

My first game with the good people of the Republic of Folk was hampered at the beginning by technical problems of my own making; I launched TS3 before Arma, which meant that my TS3 plugin wasn't updated properly - which in turn resulted in a big red message box popping up in the middle of my screen ...

Re: Helping a beginner: small-scale coop with helicopters

Quick follow-up, since I've thought about my mission in a bit more detail. I'll outline below what my ideas are, and any feedback would be much appreciated: BluFor setup: The squad starts at Balota Airfield near Chernogorsk, where BluFor has a small base. The squad has 8 playable units, including tw...

Re: Helping a beginner: small-scale coop with helicopters

Thanks, that's all very useful. :) Concerning your point re: helo pilots getting bored, with the vague ideas I have in mind I could imagine that, say, a pilot/spotter team takes off first to recon the city while the remaining players (and possibly a bunch of AI) hop in a personnel carrier. By the ti...

Helping a beginner: small-scale coop with helicopters

First of all, full disclosure: it's been a while since I've played with Folk ARPS (though I'm hoping to get back one of these Tuesday evenings), I'm looking for some tips and feedback for small-scale missions for *gasp* a different group (a handful of people who are all new to Arma ), and *double ga...

Re: Question concerning spectator scripts

Great idea! Do we have a repository of the old missions somewhere?

Re: Question concerning spectator scripts

Something like that would be cool, though I wouldn't want to add a whole massive mod just for one kind of functionality. The ideal thing would be a small, simple mod that takes care of this particular thing, but I haven't found anything yet. Especially since the people I might be playing with are al...

Question concerning spectator scripts

Man, I haven't been able to play with you good people for the longest time, which is something I should remedy... In the meantime, though, I had a question; in my case, it's more particular to Arma 2/Operation Arrowhead than Arma 3 , but I was hoping the Party would allow me to ask without schedulin...
