Everyone who has used the UAVs in ARMA2 will have fond memories of how terrible they were to control. Turns out UAVs in ARMA3 are much more straightforward, once you get the hang of it. The video, courtesy of Spanish Surfer, does a good job at explaining both the basics and more advanced mechanics.
