Depending on numbers, these sessions may run in parallel - the core hosts team will be supporting the ArmA 3 alpha research, whereas other comrades organise the mod sessions.

In selecting Saturdays for the ArmA 3 sessions we understand that we're creating a clash, but we really want to include our North American comrades in the research work. Given the importance of ensuring our eventual switch-over to ArmA 3 is as smooth as possible, I hope all comrades will understand.

Do people have strong feelings on merging Saturday night mod sessions with Friday night ACE sessions? ACE night hasn't happened in a while, I think. Plus, ACE is a mod, and I enjoy it as much as I enjoy i44, HiP and whatever other mods we end up trying. Mostly, I just enjoy playing with you guys, so I'm ok with putting these together on Friday or Saturday nights, to increase playercounts a wee bit (assuming people would be OK with this and participate anyways).

I wouldn't mind merging ACE & Mod sessions if that means the SAturday session gets more players (I only saw like 6 players there last time :() and I'd definitely join in if that happens.

Can someone point a comrade at where he might find the correct ACE and ACRE versions and advise if I need to disable any of the Politburo approved FA mods to run them?

ACRE should be the lastest in armaholic, as for ACE, the faACE package can be found in the old ACE Night thread, it is however just the latest ACE and ACEX packages from play withsix/six updater combined to allow people to download it without having to use one of those programs.

Is ACRE from play withSIX not up-to-date-enough?

I should have read this before I spent a couple of hours figuring out how to load ACE and ACRE (with my help from the comrades in FA Skype chat).

Many thanks to comrade daf for helping me with ACRE.

ACRE from play withsix is up-to-date, it's just allot of people seem to have a bias against it, so it's usual to provided instructions that bypass/don't require it, if you have play withsix and like it all you really need to do is select ace, add acre to it on the bottom right side list and press the install and you should be set.
