Straight-foward Adversarial testing if putting in battle-rifles to replace LMGs for PVP might be nice.

Thanks for the input mate, which unit in which squad were you? I'll take a look, probably an error in the gear assignment that I messed with. As for the healing, I think that might just be an arma thing, which doesnt tell you how wounded you are or let you heal unless you are below the first aid kit threshold. As for the FPS, I will look in to this, but I didn't throw any extra scripts into this mission so I have no idea.Note to admin: please edit my Subject line to reflect the proper name for this mission. Couldn't find it anywhere.
Played this mission today and the host suggested we chime in with our comments here on the forums. While the premise of the mission is sound and it has all the hallmarks to be fun, it fell through in a few critical areas. First, some oddities... I only had one clip of ammo. Yes, only the clip in my rifle. I can tell you, this does not indicate that my "defense" of the caches will be for very long. I did, however, have 3 first aid kits...which I could not use. Literally. My mouse scroll wheel did nothing. I couldn't heal myself. No bigs, I wasn't that wounded. I go over near 3 of my dead comrades and I just die. No gunshots, no nothing, just one second I'm in game and the next second my spectator screen is loading. My death screen showed that I killed me (and I did not bleed out comrades. I'm an expert in the field of bleeding out and that wasn't what happened).
Second, FPS. Something was up. My FPS returned to normal after the mission was over.
Third, actual gameplay. Both sides not knowing where the caches were=fine. One side having to defend both=not so fine. The defenders were hobbled (and not just because Yours Truly lacked ammo and grenades) by the fact that we had to defend two caches and the enemy had a vehicle. While defenders had to split our forces across two large swathes of land searching, the enemy had mobility AND they could concentrate all their forces on one swath of land at a time.
All in all, needs a bit of work, but I'd be happy to give it a go again after some of the issues are straightened up. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
This sounds exactly like what happened, with the exception that I didn't get a super red overlay.darkChozo wrote:The healing thing sounds like the Simple Wounding System glitch where you're downed but the downed animation doesn't stick. You get the super red bleeding overlay, actions don't work, you lose all your mags besides the one loaded in your current weapon, and eventually you bleed out (which shows up as you killing yourself). It has something to do with being "killed" while already in an animation, and it's unfortunately pretty common. Head's supposedly fixed it for the next F3 release, though.
