So I thought I knew this mission well enough to lead A3 as FTL. After all, the last time I played this, it was the first session I had ever played with Folk ARPS, and the second mission of the night (read: I was less confused by what was happening). So I naturally over-analysed that mission to bits.
Interestingly Gemoxy was an AAF pilot that time (I watched his video) so I was interested to see what strategy he'd come up with, being familiar with possible ambush points.
Anyway, back to Alpha 3 of this mission. So we initially had Grumpy stuck in a truck, and someone else who dropped connection after a minute. So we were two.
We had a fairly good drive, dodging (quite effectively) helicopter fire and not getting Grumpy (my AR) killed. One of the helicopters decided to land in the small village ahead of us, but the ever cool FTL of A3 went off-road and evaded the ambush.

Anyway, we continued with our uneventful drive till we hit and overshot one of the rendezvous points. ASL wondered whether it would be fun to send A2 and A3 back to that ambush and cause some trouble, and I promptly lost my way after agreeing that it was better than driving on an empty highway. Grumpy thankfully corrected my chosen course.
I should mention here that I spent the first 4 or 5 minutes with a muted mic, because I'm that cool.
Anyway, we sped back right through the ambush, caught a lot of bullets and I got Grumpy killed.

Our...well, my...vehicle was still working, barely, so I drove off road into some bushes in the distance and hid. Also ended up firing at A2's FTL.

Next few minutes passed in some confusion as I lay low to avoid enemy fire, an enemy I couldn't really see, but I knew they were about 300 to 400m away in that village/town thing. Then the helicopters came, and we fired...and the townsfolk fired at us. I think A2 was the real target of fire, only a few bullets came my way.
Anyway, one of the helicopters (Hi Sparks and Eagle_Eye!) decided to hover behind me, so I happily shot it down. Bang bang.

I think A2 got the other helo in a while, and now thanks to Spark's AAR I know why there wasn't a third.
The last two people on INDFOR kept us occupied, I was too far back to be of much use but I think A2 and A1 took care of them.
