Proposal: change of session time

Post by fer » Tue Sep 07, 2010 8:18 pm

Tigershark had a cool idea, but I think he's a bit busy this evening so I hope he won't mind me starting the thread. Essentially, Tigershark suggests that we shift the start time of the folk session forward by an hour, so that we begin at 20:30 CET (19:30 UK). The session would still run for 2 hours.

Personally, I'm down with this because it might help our Ukranian guests enjoy the full session without staying up too late. What does everyone think? :v:

Proposal: change of session time

Post by LiddleFeesh » Thu Sep 09, 2010 12:16 am

Session timing is always going to be tricky given the international flava of the group, however starting at 7:30pm might be a little early for our American friends?

For me the earlier I can make it is 8pm, when my son goes to bed, but I know others have different constraints too.

Tough call, but speaking as a guest and not a host, I think a session that runs from 7:30 to 10:30 (or 7:45 to 10:15?) would be awesome and give the best of both worlds to guests of the most popular time zones :)

Best,

Mike

I prefer the current time but I think it would be possible for me to make it to an earlier one.

Looks like there is a concensus (more or less) for the earlier start time, so let's try holding this Sunday's session at the new time. I'll make the heads-up post now ...
