Excellent, what are your impressions of the beta so far?

I'm loving it. Found a few quirks here and there but so far (and there is a steep learning curve) its awesome!

Would love to chat with you about it sometime and perhaps talk me through some things. It's incredibly complex.

If you hyper-nerds do end up doing a little instructor-trainee kind of thing, it would be ultra-super helpful for one (or both!) of you to write down something that would help a TF2-pyro-is-too-complicated idiot like me learn how to play. I really, really want to pick up DCS A-10 as soon as I can justify the expense!

Is there anything in the videos that I linked, or that I could add to them, that you would find helpful?

The producer's notes for startup are pretty handy but unfortunately there aren't going to be any new producer's notes for the foreseeable future according to ED.

Man, given the sheer amount of crap one needs to go through to get stuff running, I'm tempted to say screw it--let's do FC2/Black Shark until this thing becomes stable/consistent in terms of release (we're on open beta 2 atm). I still want to do a multiplayer test, now that Beta 2 is out and we have at least one demo MP mission.

There's an immense learning curve to this game. To learn how to play, it requires you to sink the same amount of time you'd sink into a normal game from start to finish. Anyway, not that I'm still not having fun with it, but those are my reservations. On to more videos:

My POD, let me show you it:

Your final image depicts perfectly the ideals of folk: direct, brave, and imbued with a wilful disregard for personal survivability. :v:

Looks like there is a lot of interest around DCS games - if it will help, I'm happy to set up a sub-forum devoted to these games. Perhaps you flyers can set up some sort of regular MP session? I'm not a flyer myself, but let me know how I can support you with the forums etc.
