Perhaps a side topic but - how tricky would it be for us to have a Yoma distribution setup anyway? The impression I got from Yoma himself was that he was building it so that anyone ever could use it if they set it up correctly, which I am sure is within our capabilities.

Lor : I think one of the biggest concerns a number of us have regarding ACE2 is speed. ACE2 is quite a bit slower than A2 vanilla, and A2 vanilla already tires quite a few of us out due to the fatigue induced by low framerates. OA is allegedly going to be faster.

That said, I am not a fan of ACE2 simply for the same reason I was not a fan of DeusEx2 - it failed to live up to my expectations. I think part of this is me desperately trying to hold onto my calm, and therefore hoping OA will revitalise my interest in the series rather than cause me to :nerdrage: the fuck out.

I think a Yoma set up would be helpful but would still prefer to follow the vanilla Arma2/OA route if possible in order to keep things simple.

Alright, thanks for the views. We're going to start with ArmA:OA (vanilla) and see how it shapes up. If it works fine then we've got ourselves a lovely, simple, accessible set-up. If not, we can investigate more complicated solutions; but let's do this that way around.

Simplicity is our friend. :v:
