Original invite from comrade Spinoza:
Hello all, been awhile since our last joint op so I asked the good men at CiA if they would be interested in some Inv44 coop. Early reports indicate some definite interest. But no war would be glorious without the fine footsoldiers of folk and ARPS so I hereby extend an invitation to a night of fun and games on April 29th 2012 at 20.00 CET. This time we all go together as much as possible. I prefer Wehrmach/Waffen SS troops but if anyone has a problem with that please let me know.
What's the scoop?
LDDK have asked us to come over and help them (and CiA) go back in time and shoot Nazis ... no, wait ... actually ... I think we have to shoot Americans and Brits. Which would make us Nazis. Let's not over-think this, okay? There will be shooting.

What are LDDK and CiA?
The illustrious LDD Kyllikki (LDDK) is an OFP/ArmAx group that has been around for a very long time indeed. Over 10 years, in fact! The folks at CiA have been running sessions for almost as long.

What are the people from LDDK and CiA like?
Lovely. We've had many joint sessions with them in the past, and greatly enjoyed shooting each other in the face. Here are some AAR threads from the more recent joint sessions:
When is it?
20:00 CET on Sunday 29 April, 2012 (that's 19:00 UK). This is earlier than normal Folk sessions!

Does this replace the regular Folk session?
Yes. Everyone from Folk and ARPS is invited. Again, please note the earlier start time.

Which OA server will we use?
The LDDK ArmA2: Combined Operations server. Here are the details:

Address: Filter for: kyllikki
Port: 2302
Password: kyllinyrkki

What addons are required?
Comrade Spinoza informs us that you will require:

CBA v0.8.3
INV44 Full (2.6)
INV44 Patch (2.61)

What kind of missions will we be playing?
A mega-coop, one with a name: SILBERFUCHS (a full briefing can be found later in this thread).

Which TeamSpeak 3 server will we use?
The Folk one.

Okay, sounds good. What do you need me to do?
If you don't already know how to configure and use TeamSpeak 3's Channel Commander feature, please re-/read the Getting started with TeamSpeak 3 (for ArmA2) thread before the event, even if you do not plan on taking a leadership role.

Anything else?
Just come along and enjoy the evening, comrade! If you know you're coming along, posting in this thread would be great - it's not obligatory, but it will help us plan things and is greatly appreciated by the hosts.

What if I can't make it until the usual Folk session start time, at 20:30 CET?
If all goes to plan there will be a lot of players on the server, so please understand if we don't wait for guests that arrive late in the slotting phase. If you arrive late, you may not get to participate.

Are we expected to survive?
Stop asking that.

:v:

A few of us ARPS types have been enjoying I44 for a while now, so I'm definitely up for this and I know several others will be too.

20 slots enough? Including tank crews, if you want tanks that is. I will not add any aircraft, seems enemy AT guns and such target enemy planes.

Hi Comrade Spinoza! We usually field around 24-26 players, so if it's possible to have that many slots that would be ideal. With regard to tanks, I'm sure we can find plenty of brave volunteers to die in a fire crew the death-traps fearsome armoured machines!

Any further details you can share about the mission gratefully received - we can probably pick our key element leaders in advance, so that some (or all) of the planning can be done before the session, allowing us to start more quickly (the approach we used for the last joint session).

Looking forward to it! :v:
