Because it has new platoons to play with: US Army and Takistani Army. And the TK Army kids get FN FALs. What's not to love about that? Now we can play as capitalist pig running dogs, or their Takistani counter-revolutionary lap-dogs. All in vanilla OA.

Having zero experience with actual firearms, I can safely say that the FN FAL is one of the most bitchin' weapons ever. 7.62? Fuck yes.
