I've been told to take SuperU, get on a hill and secure north-eastern approach. I could not deploy my KPM correctly, and they shot me soon after. Oh, and I've been on north-western approach. Not that it'd change anything, as correct rock was just as deadly, but I should have listened more carefully.
Swept Zero
I've lost first minutes pondering on technical difficulties, and I've spent rest of the mission tagging along my team, whichever team I'be been in, pretending to clear the houses. I guess I've been acting too realistic for milsim.
Old Technology, as A2 lead
I've been once again told to get my team on the rocks. See the pattern?
Anyways, I made sure we had spare AT, and we got to the overlook position... being overlooked by enemy BMP and at least one AA gun. Our AT got used up on the BMP.
We should have retreated from there as soon as possible, and that was my intent from the first time that BMP fired at us, but it was too little too late - we were stuck in "one person is wounded, we need to smoke the position and fix them; oh look another person is wounded!" loop.
We've been told vehicle is going to come to our aid, but maybe I misunderstood, because soon after vehicles was dead, on the northern (other) side of the AO.
Medic crawled to our position after we were out of medkits, but we couldn't get back because of lack of smoke. Then ASL came to our rock of doom for some reason...
Old Technology, as Bravo lead
I've reincarnated as leader of a reinforcement squad. When we got into the comms range, ASL and A2 were all dead. Since I got field promoted, my new plan was like this: get to the position south from remaining members of A1, smoke their position with a gl and get them out. Then approach the base from the west and at least get some helicopters parked there. But situation on the battlefield changed when we got there - three enemy BMD's were standing right there, on the north-eastern side of the base, next to enemy artillery.
So the new plan was in motion. Everyone with tube was to go and join A1, and from there attack BMD's, then use remaining rockets on the artillery. Those without tubes were to stay back, because I didn't want to repeat the "rock of doom" incident. We'd use smoke to get them out afterwards and go for these helicopters.
Then someone decided to prove me wrong, wasting our rockets on overly armoured targets instead of targets of opportunity. And other tubers apparently followed that person.
The command, probably observing the satellite view from the safety of their seats, decided to order me to attack from the west and go for the helos instead.
Thanks, mom.
In a meantime tubers attacked T-72 instead of designated targets People with tubes attacked, and successfully destroyed our own Bradley, which led to BMD's opening fire at them. Then they pulled back. Towards enemy reinforcements.
Remaining soldiers followed me west, and we were to move around towards these damn helicopters, but then command decided following their order was simply just retreating from the battlefield.
Thanks, mom.

A2, a team I led got trusted with a Metis launcher and we were told to get chernarussians from the back. With a Metis launcher, not Tigershark style.
This plan didn't live too long though - on a way to the staging area, we encountered american patrol. I can vouch for my team that we didn't fire at them, instead getting low and continuing to the RV point prone. Someone else fired at them though, and the hell broke loose.
Turns out I can't lead a team, and definitely not when it comes to bounding. Though as stated before, I shouldn't hold it against anyone if they mix up north-east and north-west. Because of that when we finally got to the overlook position in order to set up our heavy AT, chernarussian tanks already moved away. There was still one tank though, so I ordered metis to be deployed anyways, only to see it disappear underground.
I ordered
looting securing of nearby enemy trucks, looking for any AT assets, and some admin magic later we found another Metis launcher.
There's one thing that's strange about RHS Metis launcher: it flips. Unlike the Konkurs, it requires completely flat sufrace, or it either disappers underground, or flips. Next firing position I found was flat enough for me to be sure it wont disappear, but apparently not flat enough for it not to disappear. Before we got it sorted, that T-72 killed A1 and downed ASL (I think). Then it moved away.
So I deviced a cunning (read: stupid) plan - Harakka will stay at the Metis, and I'll take Bormanov and his rpg, piss of the tank and try to get it back in Harakka's kill zone. It was super effective. Too effective, really - Bormanov's tandem rocket killed gunner and probably commander in the T-72, so it refused to hunt us. Oh, and we lost Fer somewhere in between. Well, I decided to risk it, and ordered Harakka to redeploy Metis launcher in the open, on a flat ground. Finally, the beast was slain.
Apparently killing that tank wasn't our objective (shut up, Teizan), stealing a humvee was, but Fer did it when we were chasing that stupid tank.
Victory, at last.
