We began with a quick run of Monopoli, Bobberolosi's smash-and-grab-the-drugs mission on Tanoa. Led by Teizan, we rocked up at the crash site in 2 Golfs, piled out and ran straight into a fight with the local filth. Whilst our lead element gave cover to the north, Pickers' second element grabbed the product from the downed bird. We had a minor scare when a rebel appeared in the tall grass west of our vics, but Pickers put some lead in the fucker and we were able to mount up and drive away. Nobody got killed and we got all the product. Shit was perfect, yo.

Then it was on to Bait, a new and wonderfully atmospheric night mission on Tanoa by Teizan. After a spectacular insertion in 2 Hueys, our little band convened in a seaside hut to organise ourselves. I was in command and had a simple approach in mind: A1 - with Spoggers, our AR in the lead - would walk in column formation through the jungle, following the roads and tracks, whilst the MTR team would bring up the Hummer with its crate of death like a chuck wagon on a bungie (that is to say, from time to time, when we crunchies thought it was safe). Anyway, after a bit of hilarious mangrove navigation, we got the hummer and began a cross-country trek (cuttting off a length of road when I realised we could avoid a village that way). Just north of the first objective we encountered a 2-man foot patrol on the road and engaged it, killing both fighters but - mysteriously - losing Bobberolosi in the process (later, he would inform us that we were probably hit by a second patrol in the flank / rear).
I sent Teizan and Neddy to look for Bobberolosi's body, whilst the rest of my FT took up positions on the high ground above the first village. Eventually, everyone joined us on the little ridge and we made a plan to engage the fighters we could see in the village - whilst being mindful that the structures also contained civilians. Spoggers was to hose down a foot patrol walking in from the west, harakka was going to drop grenades on the group by the water tower, and everyone else was going to take care of the rest. And it worked. We dropped most of the fighters in the opening seconds, and had dealt with 2-3 stragglers just beyond the village in the minutes after. Then, leaving Spoggers and harakka on the high ground, I descended with Teizan and Pickers to check the structures were clear. Unfortunately, at that point we were engaged by 2 fighters up the dirt track that went east, out of the village. Pickers died in the first burst of fire and then, in a silly attempt to get eyes on the enemy I pushed alone into the centre of the village. I failed to let the others know, so our BoF element dropped a grenade on me.

Next up, Pickers led us in a run of Tomorrow's Harvest: Dome. Early on, we had a wonderful moment of standing still just inside a treeline as two patrols of enemy walked silently past us, before we began our push across the field. Lead element went first, but as we reached the mounds of earth near the compound fence we were engaged by enemy elements near the base entrance. Pickers died early, so I hopped on the radio and told Teizan he was in command now. Teizan's revised plan was to lay down a tonne of fire (from his FT) and then ... something. IDK, because there was a metric fuck tonne of tracer fire (like, Star Wars) , and then radio silence. Bobberolosi told me to cut the fence, and in we went. I actually got inside the dome and found a dead prisoner, but by the time I got outside again I was alone. I think a .50 cal popped my head off, but I don't know.

Finally, with our numbers reduced, we played another washington classic: Guardians I. We all died, except Spoggers, who did a lot of sniping from a rocky outcrop. I heard him say 'damn AI' a little bit before he was overwhelmed. The less said about our attempts a resurrection the better ...
