Post by wolfenswan » Tue Oct 15, 2013 7:31 pm

A collection of clientside addons used by FA players.

NOTE: We are currently whitelisting addons on the server. All addons listed here are accepted.

If you're looking for a convenient way to launch ArmA 3 with Addons check out Head's ARMA Launcher.

Many thanks for this!

All my mods apart from ST_HUD were out of date..

I suggest adding this mod. It was not available in ArmA 2. This mod allows the player to adjust the force, i.e. distance, that a grenade is thrown. Requires CBA.

As in ArmA 2 it's not encouraged to use mods that change the gameplay client-side and would give you an advantage over other players in adversarials (such as instant view distance or ST bunnyhop).

I had a very unexpected problem with the Digital Compass Display mod in last night's A3 session…

Every time I pressed the K key, the "hint" style digital compass appeared and showed the correct bearing; the problem was that the game audio suddenly popped and crackled like a de-tuned AM radio until I hit the K key again.

Arse.. Looks like I DL'd and installed the V2 which has had this issue reported instead of the V3 which doesn't.

I've tweaked the DC addon to be tied to whatever your compass key is and be a bit more responsive, just put it in the corresponding addons folder.

Instead of a toggle it just appears when you bring up the compass and disappears once you depress the compass key.

I get an error message saying the add-ons aren't signed by a key that's accepted by the Folk ARPS server when I try to log on. It works fine on the mission testing server.

Any idea what's going wrong?

The gaming server has a whitelist of addons, namely CBA and ST_hud only. Trying to connect with any other addon should kick you.

Edited the first post to reflect the whitelist.
