There were many FALs this session, and yet I don't think Fer managed to fire even twenty shots with one.

This session was short on numbers and high on AI competence.

The first mission of the day was Net Inventory in which said AI were bloody murderous, killing many of us instantly with high accuracy, before the last AI of the first objective took his 9mm MP5-derivative, aimed in the vague direction of Tigershark as he lowered altitude to hook up the cocaine crate...and fired once, terminating Tigershark instantly, and leaving the uncontrolled helicopter to fall, crash, and detonate - killing the final two people alive. :jihad:

Second up was Intermediaries, that Shapur convoy ambush mission, and our first experience of the FAL. I was medic, tasked by SL Boberro to get him up when he inevitably got shot immediately.
He did indeed get shot immediately, but it was also immediately lethal, so I took over the Kornet - landing the final hit on a Bradley - and then I spent the rest of my short life shooting back at encroaching Americans. Fer had died before he could fire even a full mag with his FAL.

After that was Uncontested - the also Shapur UN mission in which we were also given FALs. I was squad leader in this one, and my cunning command of Tank (commanded by Fer, who was shot while turned out before he could victory fire his FAL) lead to Tank getting over 30 or 40 kills. :hist101:

That they didn't exactly survive my cunning command due to my equally cunning command of /kick dead-Fer out of the commander's chair so they could loot his radio/ ending up exposing the tank gunner to enemy fire is neither here nor there.

The infantry side of the mission was okay, with FAL-shootouts, a bit of driving, and then more FAL-shootouts. Victory Fire.

Next up was a new one of mine (made for the new FAL), Fallacies. It totally isn't named for the FAL in it. (It totally is.)
This mission introduces, for possibly the first time in Folk, player-used Cluster Bombs.

Then this happened. https://youtu.be/_wzhsWtxk-c :commissar:

Admittedly that strike was called in after we had all gone down leaving nobody to revive us.
In between that and the beginning of the mission, Boberro was informed (and then shown) that Tanoan trees allow for near-zero visibility, we attacked our first target, and then we were all shot - at which point Boberro called the strike. Fer was AFK and did not manage to get back to shoot his FAL in time. Not much happened in this mission, really.

Last mission of the day was Hostage I, a FAL-less Soviet mission.

In it there was much shooting, and much being shot (not me, though), and then Victory Fire.
