This time (up to) 17 players joined our session, including but not limited to, guests from Charlie Foxtrot (who made fool out of us with their competence, again) and reichsführer Snippers of 1Tac.

More works will hopefully follow, but in a meantime have some screenshots (more in unsorted album:

I only joined for the first three(?) missions, but had a blast. Always a great time when CF joins, we should arrange permanent residence for them.

Navarone II
Me and CF Wolf formed up ST1, the first ever special swedish sniper team in the russian army. We both spawned in with cigs and matches, so even from spawn things were looking bright. After wolf demonstrated his supreme marksmanship by taking out an unaware guard at about 70 meters distance (unsure as I couldn't get my russian rangefinder to work.. should've had it made in glorious republic of Folk) and a short swim, we scaled the massively massive mountain when one of our fireteams got spotted by a guard. Me and Wolf proceeded to utterly destroy the NATO forces with our pinpoint accurate fire and racked up some 10-ish kills before doubletiming towards our planned overwatch location Love Shack (tm). Many more NATO dudes met their end before we decided to move the Love Shack to a nearby rock. It turned out to be a fatal mistake, as we both promplty clipped through the rock and bled out inside the rocks.

Assault
Glorious Leader Fer appointed me leader of FT1, a very wise choice. With my supreme experience of 0 missions as a leader, I appointed Private Egg to form FT1-M, our mortar team. We then moved out and upon reaching the first hostile bunker, he rained death supreme at my orders. 18 dudes got flattened. Good job, FT1-M!

Shortly after this things got bad. I had already been downed twice when we got flanked from the forest where FT2 had been. Kefirz was promptly blamed for this and enemies dispatched, but we lost Wolf to a combination of hostile and friendly fire (sorry Wolf...). With only one remaining AR, we entrenched the ruins of a church and tried contacting both Lead and FT2 but were met with radiosilence. Our only option was to perform a charge of glory, directly into town. We did so and it was incredibly effective, until we found the tank... Only Snippers remained, and by god did he deliver. Not only did he take out a BMP(?) but also around 10 infantry as they charged the lone automatic rifleman. In the end, he died a heroes death.

Blanches I

Glorious overlord Fer this time did not enable a second fireteam leader so I lead fireteam 2 from the carbiner position. We were to airdrop in, but because of no fireteam leader we had to use the magic parachutes that featured extreme low altitude deployment. Fireteam one and lead shortly joined us on the ground, with Kefirz having drifted off-position. He was blamed and considered dead and we proceeded to WP1 where we were met by Kefirz, who just having ditched his blue helmet and returned from the enemy camp, was waiting for us. Kefirz was blamed again and we all proceeded to move out towards the objective. Once there, it was a clusterfuck and people died left and right. I managed to kill Teizan but then got really confused and distracted by two injured guys and promptly got punished by Intel64Gamer for not paying attention. He then proceeded to kill absolutely everyone.

In Navarrone, I shot Fer only because my FT buddy told me that there was a baddie in the house and we were taking fire from it. So.. as I rounded the corner, I saw bodies and started shooting. Only when Fer fell, I realized that they were friendlies.

In Assault, I was the M113 driver. By the first bunker, we got hit by a rocket (I guess) and my gunner (Costno) died. After getting hit, I reversed as fast as I could, got out, repaired the APC and only then proceeded to give medical aid to Costno, who was dead anyway. I picked up his radio and tried to contact ASL, but I couldn't get any response. So I started pushing into the town, hoping that others would start to do the same. But it didn't happen that way and I was all alone in the town, I shot some bad guys, but eventually someone flanked me from the east and got me.

In Blanches I landed pretty much straight down from where I was teleported in. I didn't know where I was, so I started looking for landmarks, eventually I got radio contact with the rest of AttackFOR and I was told that the Shift + LMB waypoint thingy on the map was enabled. It turned out that I was like 200 m away from WP1. So I just waited for you all there. And oh my god, I could hear you bantering when you all were like 300-400 m out

Thanks for an enjoyable first session with the one true Folk. It was pretty fun playing with you guys. If anyone would like to provide me with any feedback I'd be most keen to here it particularly in the context with fitting in with the RoF way.

Navarone II
Alpha Squad Lead (CO)
I was 'selected' to command my first ever mission at RoF. Naturally this lead to some confusion. Every community always has its own styles, quirks and mostly importantly expectations. The initial part of the mission I was trying to get a feel for things whilst fleshing things together. This lead to a slower play-through than necessary. Luckily for us all the mission had a pretty well defined execution plan so there was no need to deviate from it.

I do feel we could have potentially done better with the initial cresting into town however the enemy forced us to commit. That's on me for not directing the fireteams to stay in parallel. The main logistical issue was the destruction of the artillery pieces. The explosive charges seemed to be insufficient in destroying the artillery pieces so we had to resort to using AT weapons.

Note to Mission Maker: The explosives had issues destroying the artillery pieces. My guess is RHS' armour system isn't playing nice with vanilla satchel charges.

Assault
A1 Automatic Rifleman
Our fireteam swiftly got in an armed humvee with our inspiring fireteam leader Pobiega leading us. This fancy model of humvee had window controls that provided our fireteam with a unique Scandinavian bonding experience as we all opened our windows and stared in opposing directions.

Our fireteam dismounted after sighting an enemy bunker and we proceeded on foot. Reaching the bunker was an easy feat but as we pushed onwards to the ruins it became obvious we were taking fire from up the hill. The contacts were in a location that could have been close to A2's position which lead to some confusion. Upon reaching and securing the ruins we all covered different arcs and eliminated enemies from multiple directions including up the hill. Unfortunately for us the rest of our forces had perished (I was unaware of Kerifz still possibly being alive). Pobiega ordered us to charge the town and that we did. Together we killed many enemies unfortunately the enemy were reinforced by 3 armoured vehicles, at first I thought it was purely one shilka. I dashed to the M113 in the hops that a rocket launcher would be presented. I looted a LAW and fired at the Shilka destroying it. Sadly on my side of the road there were no more Anti-Tank weapons.

At this point my focus was purely on getting another Anti-Tank weapon. To my delight I killed an AI across the road who was equipped a RPG. The only issue was how to retrieve it. Unfortunately the armoured vehicles had the road locked down but I made a dash for it and that proved to be fatal.

Blanches I
Defence - SMG dude(?)
Commander Tiezan (?) directed me to keep eyes on the south from a collection of bushes. I observed the South but nothing ever came from the South. Gunfire and radio reports indicated the enemy had attacked from the West. Eventually I asked a few times on the radio if I should fallback after not receiving a reply I decided I should. I approached the South Gate as I heard a report of enemies on the South Gate. I didn't see the hostiles but I saw a fellow UN soldier (intel64gamer) easily recognisable with that blue helmet. He killed an enemy at the gate I decided to approach the gate. I leaned a few times to throw as part of the friendly dance. Unfortunately in the darkness my team mate could not see my blue helmet and proceeded to kill me.

Mangroovin'
A1(?) - 'Weapons' Fireteam Leader
Commander Fer outlined a magnificent plan of having one fireteam assault through the valley and have my fireteam support them with (4!) machineguns. We set out to setup on the hill overwatching into the valley.

Initially we engaged enemies further down the valley than the initial compound that A2 had been tasked with approaching. This was a necessary step to protect our own advance. We kept bounding up until we had the necessary position to support A2's advance. It then became apparent that we would be unable to support A2 from our position and we forced with taking the high ground on the left flank (east). Between the teams Fer guided us bounding down the valley until we cleared the entire area. Luckily we had sufficient ammo but things were almost getting dire as we didn't have large quantities of MG ammo.

Fer, you did a great job commanding this mission and directing my fireteam as necessary.

Note to Mission Maker: CO's equipement didn't have binos.

Metla I
A(?) - Automatic Rifleman
Sometime after setting off we crossed a bridge on to an island. Sadly our brave FTL died on the island, I then assumed command of the fireteam. In an effort to get out of the danger kill zone, I directed the fireteam to head left. Not too long after this we all died.

In essence I got to camp in a tower and shoot at lots of AI. Eventually a helicopter arrived and several of us escaped unscathed. I couldn't help but reflect on the bodies of friendlies in and around the death trap mortar pit.
