Oh, yeah, and in between threatening Costno with spoilers, we played some Arma 3.
Missions:
- Blinded (Alpha)
- Field Day
- Svinets I
- Svinets II
- Fly Swatter
We started off with a walk in the woods in Blinded (Alpha), and by 'walk in the woods' I mean, of course, a bloody nightmare of dashing from tree to tree whilst being shot at by enemies unseen. Nevertheless, despite many of our number claiming to never have seen the enemy (damned if I saw any live ones), we prevailed - sweeping the whole woods and taking at least one mounted weapon.

Next, in Field Day, we conducted a series of hit-and-run attacks on the enemy, using the dry riverbed to convey us safely from point to point. After our first pop-up attack, we traversed south to destroy a truckload of enemy reinforcements, before turning north again to begin a methodical sweep of the enemy compounds. There was some great work from all involved, but for some reason the military advisers spent the whole mission discussing potatoes and asking about 'payment'.

With low numbers, we departed from the carefully planned mission list that Kefirz had kindly assembled, and played Folk story missions Svinets and Svinets II in quick succession. In the first mission we all enjoyed the beautiful sunrise through the mist, before some of our number were murderised by a roadblock with a static DShKm and a roving BRDM. Then we murdered them all back. Afterwards, we set off into the woods with the aim of recovering our lost supply trucks. There was a very funny moment when Kefirz was sharing a joke with me and died mid-sentence, our little band having run into an enemy foot patrol. Soon after, my own body was flying through the air for unexplained reasons. Thankfully, three of our number made it to the trucks; unfortunately, a surviving enemy sentry was waiting to ambush them. With a machine gun. From death, we watched some spectacular bravery comedy that culminated with Costno and the sentry killing each other (one with a truck, the other with multiple rounds of 7.62),. Finally, lone survivor Commander Teizan sped off into the sunset with one truck. Pursued by lines of tracer fire.
The final mission of the session was the Narcos-tastic Fly Swatter, which saw us killing an awful lot of cops. We killed cops at the airstrip. We killed cops in the hangers. We killed cops in their trucks as they sped to the aid of their fellows. We shot a cop chopper out of the sky and murderised its crew. We killed flashlight bearing cops in the dark. It was a festival cop killing. And then our pilot managed to take off in the Cesna with all the drugs.

Thank you again to all who came along to the session, and to Kefirz for preparing the missions run-list. Hope to see you all soon!
