Having not been late to the session this time, I
didn't miss the first mission,
Empty Threats.
It was all about a US deployment to steal (or otherwise secure without blowing up and dooming us all) a SCUD launcher before some Chedaki could launch it's missile at somewhere. I was the Medic.

The mission started with one of our first actual Huey deployments (that I've ever seen, anyway) and then went onto a very picturesque march until we spotted some enemies, where we rearranged a bit before someone misfired and suddenly there was much shooting. I got to run around healing people.
The mission from then on, according to the briefing, was on a time limit. I spent the rest of the mission building a sense of
-too slow, too slow- and occasionally bugged Kefirz about it until everyone else realized we were out of time and so began a mad dash to the SCUD where we were all shot, and the missile Launched, beginning a high, beautiful arc to some Chernarussian city where it prepared to detonate it's gloriously fissile payload -
and Boberro ended the mission.
Mangroovin' (otherwise known as Foggy Shilka), rather unusually began with a bright nuclear detonation somewhere in the distance, the mushroom cloud hidden by the morning fog. After mild prayers of the Shilka having been destroyed in Nuclear Fire (and ignoring our probable fates of death by radiation), we set off.
In this one, I was MAT Lead, in which we were given a little extra ammo than the Fireteam AT guys who were also equipped with RPG-7s and so we weren't all that important, really. Nevertheless, we managed to secure pride of place in the rear and generally away from where we had commonly suffered Death by Shilka before. I spent much of the early mission with Binoculars out, scanning incessantly for it - Didn't find it until the latter half of the mission when I climbed on top of a Water-tower, but still.
Cue a short period where we strolled off to blow up a radio tower rather than go Shilka hunting. It went quickly and easily, and there were no more excuses for leaving it alone.
Except, I had a brilliant idea. I'd already spotted it, and it hadn't seen me on top of the Water tower from before. So I and Palm (MAT gunner) would get up there and would try to shoot it from behind.
Too bad that (after Palm gave me the RPG after refusing to go up there
(and then went up there anyway?)) I missed and got shot by EI and Palm didn't take the shot after I force-respawned to free up the launcher. It could have been the MVP moment of the mission.
No, the glorious and much envied MVP award would go to Wolfenswan and his Explosive Charge (in more ways than one), using the glorious sacrifice of many of our comrades at the time to Death-by-Shilka to plant said charge immediately next to the ZSU, and then kill the ensuing disembarking crew before it exploded for good measure.
First time this mission has ever been won, Victory Fire.
Cratesistance was a very close thing from the very start, where Boberro skipped the Parameters (which defaulted to much higher playercounts) before resetting the mission after I immediately started pointing out how unfair the briefing seemed
(for the other team, maybe I should have kept my mouth shut.)
After the reset and a bit of messing around in parameters, We (Syndikat) were dumped in a bit of Jungle with some Cars and told to go guard a couple of Caches.
Both caches were deep in the jungle, and so both times we tripped directly over CSAT forces only when we'd reached ten metres of eachother. CSAT won.
A little uncomfortable with this mission, because it seems to demand a playercount of 28 or something similar for proper Objective gameplay, but otherwise largely because of the unusual jungle difficulties,
lack of fancy Tiger-stripe camouflage, and being based on f3 rather than TMF as per usual.
Happily, our next mission,
Guardians IV, was also an Adversarial - and was much better suited for our playercounts. I led the Bolt-action people.
There was much purging of Heretics (I got the MG guy and someone else), before there were only two left and Soviet!Palm ate a 7.62 to the torso and used his Cheaty Avtomat Rifle to spray many bullets at our last guy. (Damn you body armour!

)
I had to go then, and missed the next mission.
